Campus, School, and University Service
I currently serve as the Stark Campus Undergraduate Program Coordinator for the College of Communication and Information. I am also the regional campus representative to the CCI College Advisory Council. I am the past chair of the Stark Campus Diversity Committee and the Faculty Technology Committee. I have also previously served as an elected member of the Stark Campus Faculty Council, the CCI Curriculum Committee, and the Kent State Educational Policies Council. Disciplinary Service I am the Associate Editor of the Ohio Communication Journal; you can learn more about OCJ and submit your manuscript here: Ohio Communication Journal. I also serve on the editorial boards of Health Communication (2017-present) and Frontiers in Communication (2016-present). I was previously a member of the Southern Communication Journal (2014-2017) and Florida Communication Journal (2012-2014) editorial boards. I also regularly review articles and book proposals for other academic publishers. In 2021, I was an elected member of the National Communication Association Health Communication Division's Awards Committee. I have also been a member of the Ohio Communication Association Executive Board since 2018. Between 2014 and 2016, I held various leadership positions within the Applied Communication Division of the Southern States Communication Association –– including Vice Chair (which involved planning the division’s convention program) and Chair. |
